we are allowed to play each other ...even in rated games and give advice.....as long as we do not give advice to each other when playing team matches vs other teams...and i do not know if that is even a rules or not...does anyone know if that is a rule or not/....what opening do you most of the time start with?

I usually open with e4 followed by my kn to attack their pawn if the get e5. I have actually been doing pretty good but have been very careless lately after gaining an advantage. I am not sure where to get the game_number to point you to one. Feel free to browse around my games if you have access.

i need to know what is the max numberof games everyone wants......you will play 1 person in 2 games 1 as white and 1 as black just to let the ones that are new to team play know....and i wantto to know how many games at the most yall want to play......if it is 2 games that is fine with me if it is 30 that is also fine i will try to find them for yall...... but i let yall pick how many games so noone gets made and leaves the team..... also i would like everyone to just check the forum every once in a while i am not saying talk on it every day if you wantto that is fine just like every 3 daysor so check in to see what is new with the team...i have a guy joining the team and he will send messages out to everyone about you know look at the forum you need to know this...just messages like that... any help on finding new players would be great.. i would like the team to be 15 to 20 players at max not a huge team ..... we could use a couple of 1600 rated players and some 1700 to 1800 to 1900 rated players right now..... when you look for players for team make sure they play good oppents.....don't look at just rateing.... hope everyone has great games...again we play chessmasters on dec. 15...i would love for everyone to try there hardest on those games vs chessmasters i really want to beat them

I was just reading the FAQ and was surprised to learn what is NOT considered cheating. It seems that we are allowed to reference a chess book or games/moves data base during play?
Is that a common thing. I always assumed two individuals sat down at the computer and played with the knowledge they sat down with. Does anybody here use this while playing or is it an unwritten rule that we don't take advantage of these written rules :) I would prefer to play heads up but I also don't want to be put at a disadvantage.

I play max 6-8 games as a rule in my spare time.
Look at my games.
I m playing six games now. Five for the 15th GK tournament and one challenge.
In the future, within one or two months, will begin the second round of the 14th GK tournament, i think at least eight games.
I will reduce the other games to play more for the team in the future.
For the present I think is fine for me to play 1 match of two games.

Even to let queenlover to give instructions and receive our suggestions. And above all, to help one each other in the games, to ask for help when necessary to someone or to all the team. To help one another would be the most important goal of it, and to comment some questions too, referring to the team and that are more confidential. Of course, all this is optional. I suggested Clem because I saw this kind in a former team and I saw it worked very well. So, the word is with you. I think that if the idea is well received from someones, we would begin with them. Thank you Clem and Darren, I didnt know it was forbidden that about games in progess! / Clem: Im really surprised, you know, since I was 9 years old I always learnt in books that the points for the rock were 5, and for the queen, 10 !!! But you are not the first player to tell me that the queen points are 9! Iwill see this in some chess websites, it would be good for me to see it undoubtfully. It is amazing to learn this news right now!!!
