19 ( +1 | -1 ) Cuz you're you. You install fear into your opponents hearts. All kids named tulkos, baseballman3001 (or something), triangulator, browneyes, or DEATH BY PAWNS are all cool. This is why we always win. Sorta.

84 ( +1 | -1 ) Tell me more...Are you winning with this "unorthodox" opening against similarly rated or even higher rated players? If so, that'd be impressive since you have a 1700+ GK rating. Generally, starting off a pawn down against such a group is a difficult road.
Then again, perhaps by leaving convention, you confuse the opponent and they are forced to play true "tactical" chess and not rely on opening standards. Who knows.
Another question: what is your objective with this opening? Obviously, you should only give up a pawn in a gambit if you come out positionally ahead. Other than having three pawns developed, I'm not sure you've accomplished much. I would most likely retaliate with a King's Indian/Pirc type formation and close down.
